Blood letter: Why Hole-Punching Should Be Included in the Next Oylmpics...
I have been filing (or rather... i started filing) my past yearS worksheets these few days. And I was quite surprise to see my sec 3 Geog test paper and my sec 4 Physics notes in that pile of papers (i tot i recycled them all~)! Of cos' there will be many many more surprises coming my way as my sorting and filing quest continues.
Guess what? The most horrible part is not the paper-cuts, nor is it the endless sorting and sorting. It's the HOLE-PUNCHING! I guess the biceps on my left arm have gotten bigger with this neverending punching.
That's why, I strongly propose Hole-punching to be included in the next olympic games 2012 (yes fly me to London!) .
Like many other sports and games, Hole-Punching requires
Strength: To push down the lever arm
Agility: To push down the lever arm continuously at high speed
Concentration & Accuracy: To make sure you are making holes at the right places
Tactics/Strategies: To ensure your whole stack of documents have uniform holes
Knowledge: To know the many different types of paper, i.e. sizes, thickness, texture
Gears & Equipment: Make sure you have a good Hole punch (or hole puncher, paper puncher or perforator or whatever you call it) with good spring, sharp blade and fulcrum at the right place.
Discrimatory (LOL): Instead of gender, competitions and matches can either be divided into weight categories like taekwondo or by heights (or rather, thickness) like diving (you know that 10m platform 3m spring board crap)
Teamwork: Don't laugh...we can have a syncronised hole-puching game oso
Variety: We can have single hole punch and double hole punch competitions
